When the guns came out, "buck's" passion became obvious. Everyone wanted to hunt with bucklin, his hunting enthusiasm and abilities were amazing! He was relentless in the thick stuff and worked open fields with aggression and precision. He had a great nose and a rock solid point. And he almost never lost a bird, even doves in deep alfalfa. He was a gentle and friendly family dog, especially with young children.
As we come to the last day of the pheasant season, we were all reminded of our dog buck. Although we had a successful season, it was not the same without him. We are grateful for the 12 years that we had with Buck in the fields and in our family!
Below is a tribute of Buck.
